The Certificate in Catering & Cooking Course is one of its kind that exposes you to the food sector.

societies.
The course not only prepares you for a professional job in any of the hotels, cruises, airlines, and
restaurants as a Chef – but it also equips you with relevant skills for home use. Eating has always
been and will continue to be a connecting factor and it facilitates relationship building and
development. Skilled acquired through this course will take you places. This course is meant for both
young and old people whose passion is to learn a unique skill. Gombe Institute of Business Science

LEARNING OUTCOMES
- Graduates of this course take on positions in establishments such as hotels, restaurants, and cruise lines, among others.
- They can also be self-employed as personal chefs or start a catering business. We have also seen family kitchens, dining tables, and people's lives transformed as a result of learning to prepare nutritious foods. Ladies who have challenges preparing food at home can enroll in a 3 months program and this could save a marriage!! Food is the best medicine for the human body. Learning food nutrients and preparation saves hospital bills and also saves a life. The earlier you get to know what you eat and how you prepare what you eat for life, the better for your longevity.

- Our Young Chefs at GIBST plays a major role in bringing together students who have completed their Form 4 or Form 6 and are passionate about cooking. Instead of them wasting time on Television screens at home-they learn a Life-Long Skill

3 months ( 3 days of Lectures, 2 days of practical’s per week for 3 weeks, and 1 day in a fortnight for
2 months then a final assessment)
